Basketball Programs
Let’s Play!
YMCA Basketball classes, clinics, and leagues are age-appropriate and emphasize skill development and good sportsmanship in an encouraging environment.
Whether you are new to the game of basketball or looking to improve your skillset, our youth basketball clinics will help get you to the next level. We incorporate games and drills that are meant to be fun and exciting all while honing in the fundamentals of the sport.
Our goal is for each participant to end each session with a greater understanding of the game while improving their skillset and having fun!
Buddy Basketball
Buddy Basketball is offered for children ages 12+. Children will learn the fundamentals of the sport (e.g., ball handling, shooting, passing, defense) and engage in competition in a fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
Special needs participants will be partnered with a buddy(local students) that will assist in teaching the players the sport.
One hour long clinic of drills and games at the Laguna Niguel Family YMCA.

Fundamentals (Ages 3-5)
At the Y, the Pre-K Basketball League participants will learn the sport and will play against each other on teams.
Players are required to wear closed toe shoes. The YMCA provides all equipment necessary and a team T-shirt, which is included in the cost of the program.
Leagues will consist of 3 weeks of practice and 3 weeks of games. Children will learn the fundamentals of the sport (e.g., ball handling, shooting, passing, defense) and engage in a fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
This program will operate on Mondays between: 4:30 pm – 5:15pm, March 3 – April 7, 2025
This program will end registration: March 2nd or at 16 registrations, whichever comes first..

Four sessions monthly (Every Tuesday at 4:00 pm – 4:45 pm)
