Basketball League

The adult basketball league is designed to provide adults with a form of exercise by competitively competing in a fun and fast-paced sport. Whether you’re new to basketball or wish to continue your career in the sport, there is a spot for you. This season will 4v4 with 7 regular season games + 2 weeks of playoffs and games on Saturday evenings. The top 4 seeds will play for the division championship, all remainder teams will play consolation games to reach the 9 game season.

Each player will need to register and provide their valid US ID or valid US driver’s license at each game.

Season Games: April 11th – June 13th

Game play:

• • 20-minute halves with 1-minute halftime.
  • The season fee is paid per play and is $44 for YMCA members / $88 for non-members during early bird registration.
    • Additional costs may be your team jersey that will be arranged with your team manager.
  • Season fee must be made in full prior to the first game of the season.
    • The fee includes referee costs for the entire season.
    • Only registered players or subs are allowed to play in any game.
  • Managers will be the point of contact for each team and will be responsible for passing along the information to the rest of their team.
    • Games are 4v4
    • Teams are expected to have 6-8 players on the roster, if less than 6 are on the roster, the league reserves the right at add free agents.
  • All teams and spectators must clean up any trash and belongings after their game.
  • Non YMCA member participants and spectators are not permitted to use the rest of the facility besides the restrooms
  • All teams must have matching uniforms that are similar color.
    • If teams have similar color uniforms it is the home team’s responsibility to change uniforms or wear bibs.
  • No jewelry allowed during games (rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, etc…)
  • Teams must notify director of plan to forfeit at least 24 hours before their scheduled game time & may accrue a forfeit fee.
  • Rosters must be submitted by the team manager and waivers will be filled out while registering.
  • Free Agents are welcome to sign-up, there is just no guarantee placement occurs.
    • If we are unable to place a free agent, a full refund can be requested.

Sub list for game during Winter League 2026.

Each one sub registration is for one game only.

Subs are not allowed during playoffs.

At the Y, PreK Basketball League participants will learn the sport and will play against each other on teams.
Players are required to wear closed toe shoes. The YMCA provides all equipment necessary and a team T-shirt, which is included in the cost of the program.

Leagues will consist of 3 weeks of practice and 3 weeks of games. Children will learn the fundamentals of the sport (e.g., ball handling, shooting, passing, defense) and engage in a fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

This program will operate on Wednesdays from 4:30 pm – 5:15 pm.

6-7 Age Division (Spring 2026 Season):
One practice per week held Monday through Friday at the Laguna Niguel Family YMCA.

Games held on Saturdays at the Laguna Niguel Family YMCA.

Mandatory Assessment: Saturday, March 28th 10am

Children will learn the fundamentals of the sport (e.g., ball handling, shooting, passing, defense) and engage in competition with local teams in a fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

6-7 Age Division:
One practice per week, which could be: Mondays at 5:30, Wednesday at 4pm or Friday at 4pm, start time. All practices and games are at the Fullerton Family YMCA. Games are Saturday mornings at 8:30 or 9:30.

Jersey cost is included in registration, picture costs are not. Pictures will be taken on a game day during the season, for an additional cost.

Upon registering, please upload a photo to your account. This will be needed for your player card and will allow us to have your card created prior to the first game.
