Martial Arts

Develop strength, balance, flexibility, self-defense skills in a fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character-development and self-discipline.

In this Karate class, students will learn the basics of Traditional Japanese Shindo Jinen Ryu Karate, and WKF Olympic Karate, including proper form, breathing, stances, punches, and kicks.

This program implements a testing system from White Belt up to the Orange Belt level. Students will be belt-tested at least on a bimonthly basis at the discretion of the instructor.

*Gis (uniforms) are required to participate. Gis will not be provided through the Fullerton Family YMCA. Belts will be provided.

We specialize in “educational martial arts”, in building children’s character through martial arts. Children can develop focus, confidence, discipline, self-control, and physical fitness while having fun through martial arts training. We believe that accountability and teamwork with parents, teachers and instructors will help children to succeed.

Our mission is to guide and inspire the students to cultivate confidence, respect, self-esteem, patience, and discipline. Ages 6-18..

We ask that all participants wear a Gi while participating in this class.

Kids will learn modern-day self-defense techniques in this martial arts class while developing coordination, stamina, strength, and flexibility. Classes will promote positive social interactions in a fun group setting.

Our mission is to guide and inspire the students to cultivate confidence, respect, self-esteem, patience, and discipline. Ages 5-10.

Gi’s will be available for purchase.
