Our leagues offer recreational and competitive programs where participants will be included on teams and play games against one another. Our leagues provide the chance for every player to develop their skills, discipline, sportsmanship, strength, and endurance.

Welcome to the Newport-Mesa YMCA Fall Session!

Program Session Dates:        September 17th – November 9th

Our coed leagues offer recreational and competitive programs where participants will be included on teams and play games against one another. Our leagues provide the chance for every player to develop their skills, discipline, sportsmanship, strength, and endurance.

What’s included:

  • Once a week practices for 8 weeks
  • Games on Saturdays for 8 weeks
  • Uniform for the season
  • Medals at the end of the season

Ages 4-6 will practice on Tuesdays at 4:00 PM with games on Saturdays at 10:00AM.

Ages 7-10 will practice on Wednesdays at 4:00 PM with games on Saturdays at 11:00 AM.

Youth Soccer League (Ages 6-8)

This co-ed youth soccer league encourages fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship!

Registration includes: 7 regular season games, 2 playoff games (on Saturdays), 1 weekly practice, uniform, certificate and a medal.

Mandatory Assessment Day: Sept. 14th @ 10:45am. All players will be placed on a team based on their skill level and team balance. We will try our best to balance out all teams.

The assessment is to get to know the players (this is not a tryout). Our goal is to evaluate the talent to prepare teams that are balanced, so the league is fun, fair and competitive.

Practices Begin: Sept. 21st, weekday practices will begin the week of: Sept. 23rd-Sept.27th. Day and time will be TBD

Games are 7v7, six field players and 1 goalie. Games will be: September 28th-November 23rd

*We’re looking for Volunteer Coaches!*

Whether you’re new to soccer or wish to continue your career in the sport, there is a spot for you. This season will be 8 regular season games + 2 weeks of playoffs. The top 4 seeds will play for the division championship, all remainder teams will play consolation friendlies.

    • If teams have similar color uniforms it is the home team’s responsibility to change uniforms or wear bibs.
  • No jewelry allowed during games (rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, etc…)
  • Teams must notify coordinator of plan to forfeit at least 24 hours before their scheduled game time & may accrue a forfeit fee.
