Subs pay $8 / $16 per any one 1 game and also require a receipt and wristband.

Subs are not allowed during playoffs!

Welcome to the Newport-Mesa YMCA Spring Session!

Program Session Dates:       April 8th – May 31st

Our coed leagues offer recreational and competitive programs where participants will be included on teams and play games against one another. Our leagues provide the chance for every player to develop their skills, discipline, sportsmanship, strength, and endurance.

What’s included:

• Once a week practices for 8 weeks
• Games on Saturdays for 8 weeks
• Uniform for the season
• Medals at the end of the season

Ages 4-6 will practice on Tuesdays at 4:00 PM with games on Saturdays at 10:00AM.

Ages 7-10 will practice on Wednesdays at 4:00 PM with games on Saturdays at 11:00 AM.

Youth Soccer League (Ages 6-8)

This co-ed youth soccer league encourages fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship!

Registration includes: 7 regular season games, 2 playoff games (on Saturdays), 1 weekly practice, uniform, certificate and a medal.

Mandatory Assessment Day: April 5th @ 10:45am. All players will be placed on a team based on their skill level and team balance. We will try our best to balance out all teams.

If not enough 6-8 yr old’s register, the program will be blended with the older age group.

The assessment is to get to know the players (this is not a tryout). Our goal is to evaluate the talent to prepare teams that are balanced, so the league is fun, fair and competitive.

Practices Begin: each team will have their 1st practice Sat. April 12th, then weekdays following. Day and time will be TBD

This is for individual players who do not have a team established to sign up as a free agent. Signing up for this does not guarantee a spot on a team. Once assigned to a team there will be a fee associated but it will determine how many players are currently on the team you are assigned to.

The adult soccer league is designed to provide adults with a form of exercise by competitively competing in a fun and fast-paced sport. Whether you’re new to soccer or wish to continue your career in the sport, there is a spot for you. This season will be 8 regular season games + 2 weeks of playoffs. The top 4 seeds will play for the division championship, all remainder teams will play consolation friendlies.

Upon registering, please choose moderate or advanced level of play, if it applies, so we can create fun, fair and competitive games for all. If either skill level does not register enough teams, skills may be blended.

• 22-minute halves with 1-minute halftime.
• The season fee is $44/$88 per player during early bird.
  • Players are required to provide a legal ID each game for proof of registration.
• Season fee must be made in full prior to the first game of the season.
  • The fee includes referee costs for the entire season.
• Managers will be the point of contact for each team and will be responsible for passing along the information to the rest of their team.
  • Teams are expected to have 10 players on the roster, if less than 10 are on the roster, the league reserves the right at add free agents.
• All teams and spectators must clean up any trash and belongings after their game.
• Non YMCA member participants and spectators are not permitted to use the rest of the facility besides the restrooms (exercise rooms, pool, playground, etc…)
• All teams must have matching uniforms that are similar color.
  • If teams have similar color uniforms it is the home team’s responsibility to change uniforms or wear bibs.
• No jewelry allowed during games (rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, etc…)
• Teams must notify coordinator of plan to forfeit at least 24 hours before their scheduled game time & may accrue a forfeit fee.
• Rosters must be submitted by the team captain and waivers will be filled out upon registering before the first game they participate in.
• Free Agents are welcome to sign-up, there is just no guarantee placement occurs.
