Soccer Programs
Let’s Play Soccer! The Y offers kids of all skill levels and ages the opportunity to play soccer!
Did you know playing soccer provides many health benefits, including:
- Improved cardiovascular health for the entire body
- Increased strength
- Enhanced endurance to play at a higher level for longer stretches of time
- Better hand-eye (and foot-eye!) coordination
No matter how it’s played, one of soccer’s most important benefits is social interaction. As a team sport, soccer provides youth a chance to learn how to interact with compassion and sportsmanship in a healthy environment.
Fundamentals (Ages 3-5)
Classes will focus on the development of fundamental skills and the growth of your child in the YMCA’s four core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Participants will learn the basic building blocks for success in a fun environment.
Classes are held at the Mission Viejo Family YMCA in the Outdoor Soccer Arena.

Fundamentals (Ages 3-5)
At the Y, participants will learn the fundamentals of the sport in a fun and engaging supportive environment and emphasizes character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Participants will learn the sport and will play against each other on teams.
Leagues consist of 3 weeks of practice and 3 weeks of games. A uniform t-shirt is included in the registration cost. Players are required to wear close toe shoes.
Option 1: Wednesday Soccer, 4:30pm – 5:15pm:
Session 1 Wed. Soccer: January 7 – February 11
Option 2: Saturday Soccer, 8:30am – 9:15am:
Session 1: January 3 – February 7
The YMCA provides all equipment necessary and a team T-shirt, which is included in the cost of the program.
Each option & each session program will end registration @ deadline or at 16 registrations, whichever comes first.

Soccer Campaign Clinic: February 2026
February 14th:
Soccer Clinic from 9am-1030am
The clinic will help players with game like sceneries, fun drills and instructional tips to equip players for Soccer.
Participants will also have a chance to win prizes, and all proceeds from this clinic will go directly to the Fullerton Family YMCA Campaign efforts, which provide financial assistants to participants and families in need.
