Swim teams at the YMCA of Orange County instill a sense of belonging in young swimmers year-round.
YMCA swim teams offer youth the chance to experience the enormous health benefits of swimming while enjoying the fun, excitement, and character lessons that come with being a member of a swim team. Swim teams at the Y help both novice and more experienced swimmers improve their strokes and technique through regular practices.
Intermediate (Ages 7-18)
The intermediate swim team, students refine stroke techniques on all major competitive strokes, learn about competitive swimming, and discover how to incorporate swimming into a healthy lifestyle.
Must be able to swim 2 lengths of the pool of all 4 strokes, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly.
Practice is held Monday through Thursday from 5 pm to 6 pm.

Porpoise Club (Ages 6-16)
In Porpoise, students refine stroke techniques on all major competitive strokes, learn about competitive swimming, and discover how to incorporate swimming into a healthy lifestyle.
Swim Team Participants should be able to swim at least 50yd of every stroke.
A swim assessment must be done before registration.
