Volleyball League

Volleyball leagues are offered for children ages 7-15. Youth will learn the fundamentals of the sport (e.g., ball handling, serving, passing, defense) and engage in competition with local teams in a fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

7-11 Age Division (Spring 2024 Season):
One practice per week held Monday through Friday at the Laguna Niguel Family YMCA.

Games held on Sundays at the Laguna Niguel Family YMCA.

Mandatory Assessment: Sunday, April 7th at 12pm.

Jersey cost is included in registration

This Volleyball League for this Spring will be a combined age group option for children ages 8-9.

Youth will learn the fundamentals of the sport (e.g., ball handling, serving, passing, defense) and engage in competition with local teams in a fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

8-9 Age Division:
One practice per week, which could be: Tuesday or Thursday, between 4-8 start time, at the Fullerton Family YMCA.

Mandatory Assessment: Sunday, June 30th. Times for assessments will at 12:30 or 1, specific times be emailed by June 26th.

Games will be held on Sunday afternoons at the Fullerton Family YMCA, starting July 21st.

Jersey cost is included in registration, picture costs are not. Pictures will be before a game during the league.

Registration is head count or deadline, whichever comes first.

12-15 Age Division (Spring 2024 Season):

The adult volleyball league is designed to provide adults with a form of exercise by competitively competing in a fun and fast-paced sport. Whether you’re new to volleyball or wish to continue your career in the sport, there is a spot for you. This season will be 8 regular season games + 2 weeks of playoffs. The top 4 seeds will play for the division championship, all remainder teams will play consolation friendlies.

Upon registering, please upload a photo to your account. This will be needed for your player card and will allow us to have your card created prior to the first game.

• Matches will be played in a best of 3 style. First 2 games will be played to 25 points. A 3rd, if necessary will be played to 15 points.
• The season fee is paid per play and is $99 for YMCA members / $199 for non-members
  • Additional costs may be your team jersey that will be arranged with your team manager.
• Season fee must be made in full prior to the first game of the season.
  • The fee includes referee costs for the entire season.
• Managers will be the point of contact for each team and will be responsible for passing along the information to the rest of their team.
  • Teams are expected to have 8 players on the roster, if less than 8 are on the roster, the league reserves the right at add free agents.
• All teams and spectators must clean up any trash and belongings after their game.
• Non YMCA member participants and spectators are not permitted to use the rest of the facility besides the restrooms
• All teams must have matching uniforms that are similar color.
• No jewelry allowed during games (rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, etc…)
• Teams must notify director of plan to forfeit at least 24 hours before their scheduled game time & may accrue a forfeit fee.
• Rosters must be submitted by the team manager and waivers will be filled out upon registering before the first game they participate in.
• Free Agents are welcome to sign-up, there is just no guarantee placement occurs.
  • If we are unable to place a free agent, a full refund can be requested.

*Individual players are welcome to sign up as a free-agent, but being placed on a team is no guarantee.
