Swim teams at the YMCA of Orange County instill a sense of belonging in young swimmers year-round.
YMCA swim teams offer youth the chance to experience the enormous health benefits of swimming while enjoying the fun, excitement, and character lessons that come with being a member of a swim team. Swim teams at the Y help both novice and more experienced swimmers improve their strokes and technique through regular practices.

When registering for swim team try out you will be issued a scheduling credit, you will use this scheduling credit to schedule your child’s try out.
*Please note that by enrolling in the tryout you have to use the scheduling credit to confirm a try out. When you schedule your try out you will receive a separate email with the time and date confirmation of your try out.

This swim team is about creating a community of swimmers that want to further their own goals in the pool. This will be a competition team that will go to swim meets and compete against other teams. It is not required for you to compete. If you just want the structure of a workout that’s ok. We will work on technique, endurance, strength, turns, dives thru a various types of workout structures. The workout should be fun but challenging and the coach will be there to help you along the way.
