Safe Sitter Classes

Safe@Home | 90 minutes | Grades 4-6

Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.

Cancellation Policy: There is a 48-hour cancellation policy for all Safe@Home classes. If you do not show up to the class without a notice of cancellation there will be no refund. To request a cancellation, please visit the front desk or email [email protected]

Safe Sitter Essentials | 5.5 hours | Grades 6 and UP

Students learn how to prevent injuries and handle emergencies when home alone, watching your younger siblings, or babysitting. They are taught infant and child choking rescue. They also learn how a child’s age affects the care they receive, how to prevent problem behavior, how to run their own babysitting business, and stay safe online.

For students who are 12 years old or older, there is an option to pay $150 to enroll in the Safe Sitter Essential Course and secure a spot in an American Red Cross CPR course at a later date. This CPR addon course must be completed within 90 days.
