Camps

Campers will explore the world of art using mixed media while creating projects inspired by famous artists and art styles from artists around the world!

AGES: 5-12 Years

Time: 9 am – 12 pm

Children must be 5+ years old and must be fully potty trained. We cannot assist in the bathroom. 

All children must be picked up by the end of their session 

Failure to pick up on time will affect future eligibility in the program.

Kids will discover a world of creativity through an array of painting from different artists around the world and create pieces in the artist’s style.

YMCA camps are age-appropriate and emphasize skill development and good sportsmanship in an encouraging environment.

Basketball Camp is 5 days of fun  activities in a variety of events to enhance the participants’ overall athleticism. The goal of the camp is to offer participants the opportunity to develop their ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense through fun basketball games and drills.

Camp will be applicable to participants between the ages of: 6-12 years old. Camp is 9am-12pm, Monday – Friday.

Space is limited, registration will close due to camp head count or registration deadline, whichever comes first

Extended Care (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Friday)
Extended Care is available for families who need additional time after the main camp program. During this period, campers will enjoy a relaxed environment with supervised free play, quiet activities, games, and outdoor Kid Zone play time when appropriate.

Children attending Extended Care should bring a nut-free lunch and a drink each day. Please also ensure your child comes with weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes.

Our YMCA staff will continue to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging space for campers until pick-up time.

Campers will create characters and storylines while designing your own comic and experimenting with simple stop motion animation to bring stories to life!

Ages 5 – 12 years

Campers will learn basic cooking skills while making fun snacks, baked goods, and simple recipes!

Ages: 5-12 years

Time: 9:00am-12:00pm

Students will learn fundamental cooking skills by making snacks, baked goods, and simple meals! Enroll your little chefs for a fun filled summer!

Ages: 5-12 years

Time: 9:00-12:00pm

Campers will use LEGOs and makerspace materials to build, create, and experiment while exploring science, engineering, and problem-solving through hands-on challenges!

Ages 5 – 12 years

Time: 9:00am-12:00pm

Children must be 5+ years old and must be fully potty trained. We cannot assist in the bathroom. 

All children must be picked up by the end of their session

Lunch Bunch!

Extend your morning or afternoon camp session with Lunch Bunch! Supervision and activities will be provided.

Please note we do not provide lunches for participants.

Hours: 12:00 pm -12:30 pm

Children must be 4+ years old and must be fully potty trained. All children must be picked up by 12:30pm.

Failure to pick up on time will affect future eligibility in the program.

Lunch Bunch + Extended Care is offered weekly after morning camps. Children will stay after morning camp and have their lunch (lunch is not included and needs to be provided with the child) and then enjoy an extended 2 hours of activities. Lunch bunch runs from 12:00-2:00pm.

Children must be 4+ years old and must be fully potty trained. All children must be picked up by 2 pm.

YMCA Sports Camps are age-appropriate and emphasize skill development with good sportsmanship in an encouraging environment.

This Summer Sports Camp is built around the sport of Soccer, Basketball, Pickleball, Baseball and will be applicable to participants between the ages of: 5-11 years of age. Camp is 9am-12pm, Monday – Friday.

Friday we will close the week at the pool!

Sports Staff will guide participants through drills and conditioning, to better their: footwork, ball handling, shot and game

Space is limited, registration will close due to camp head count or registration deadline, whichever comes first.

• Participants need bring water and a snack daily. *Snack must be nut free
• Participants must bring shin guards and cleats or running shoes.

YMCA camps are age-appropriate and emphasize skill development and good sportsmanship in an encouraging environment.

Multi-sport Camp is multiple days of fun  activities in a variety of events to enhance the participants’ overall athleticism. The goal of the camp is to offer participants the opportunity to play a wide variety of sports and games, from traditional sports/games to new sports/games.

Camp will be applicable to participants between the ages of: 4-10 years old.

YMCA Adventure Camp is available for children ages *4-10 to come and discover new talents and give them an opportunity to interact with others in a fun setting! Our qualified instructors will provide students with hands-on and engaging lessons in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Science. Camp runs daily from 9:00am-2:00pm and has different activities daily around a weekly theme including sports and play, arts and crafts.

YMCA Soccer camps are age-appropriate and emphasize skill development and good sportsmanship in an encouraging environment.

This Summer Soccer Camp is built around the sport of Soccer and will be applicable to participants between the ages of: 5-11 years of age. Camp is 9am-12pm, Monday – Friday.

Spring Break Camp – All Fun and Games!

Get ready for All Fun and Games Spring Break Camp! Campers will enjoy a week full of excitement as they explore classic board games, active sports, and fun group games. Each day will be packed with friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of opportunities to move, play, and make new friends. 

Hours: 9:00 am -12:00 pm

Children must be 4+ years old and must be fully potty trained. All children must be picked up by 12:00pm. Please bring a sweater and a water bottle to refill at our facility.

YMCA Summer Enrichment Camp – Fullerton Family YMCA

Get ready for a summer full of fun, creativity, and adventure at the YMCA! Our Summer Camp program offers children a safe, engaging environment where they can explore new interests, build friendships, and stay active all summer long.

Each week features exciting themes and activities, including arts and crafts, STEM challenges, outdoor games, team-building activities, and special enrichment programs. Campers will enjoy activities designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and promote confidence.

Our trained YMCA staff create a welcoming and supportive environment where every child can learn, play, and grow.

Camp is open to children ages 4–12 and takes place at the Fullerton Family YMCA

Week 1: Artistic Innovation – Art Week (June 1–5)
Campers will explore their creativity through hands-on art projects, painting, and collaborative creations. Each day brings new opportunities to express imagination and build confidence through art. The week wraps up with colorful fun including a Color Explosion Day, Water Day, and Pizza Friday.

Week 2: Quest Builders – Dino Adventure Week (June 8–12)
Get ready to travel back in time for a prehistoric adventure filled with dinosaur-themed games and activities. Campers will dig into exciting challenges, crafts, and interactive learning experiences. A Jurassic Theme Day and live reptile show make this week truly unforgettable.

Week 3: We’ve Got Game! – Sports Week (June 15–19)
This high-energy week focuses on teamwork, sportsmanship, and active play through a variety of games and sports clinics. Campers will build skills while having fun in a supportive and engaging environment. Highlights include Jersey Day and a sweet Ice Cream Friday celebration.

Week 4: Engineering & Design – LEGO Week (June 22–26)
Campers will become young engineers as they design, build, and problem-solve using LEGO and other creative materials. This week encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation. With themed activities like Superhero Day, raffles, and special treats, it’s a builder’s dream.

Week 5: The Great Outdoors – Nature Week (June 29–July 3)
Explore the wonders of nature through outdoor adventures, nature walks, and hands-on activities. Campers will connect with the environment while creating nature-inspired crafts and projects. The week includes building a special “nature friend” teddy bear and enjoying fresh air fun.

Week 6: Code Quest – STEAM Week (July 6–10)
Campers will dive into the world of science, technology, engineering, art, and math through exciting experiments and challenges. This week promotes curiosity, problem-solving, and innovation in a fun and engaging way. Daily challenges, plus Pizza & Water Day, keep the excitement going.

Week 7: Culinary Showdown – Food & Fun Week (July 13–17)
Young chefs will explore cooking through fun, safe, and hands-on food activities. Campers will learn basic skills, try new foods, and enjoy creative culinary challenges. Dress Like a Chef Day, popsicles, and daily treats make this a deliciously fun week.

Week 8: Champions in the Making – Fitness Week (July 20–24)
This week is all about movement, health, and building strong bodies and minds. Campers will participate in fitness challenges, games, and activities that promote wellness and confidence. A Water Safety Talk and Pool Day add extra excitement and learning.

Week 9: Adventure Awaits – End of Summer Bash (July 26–30)
We close out summer with an action-packed celebration full of adventure and fun. Campers will enjoy themed activities, challenges, and memorable moments with friends. Special highlights include Dress Like an Explorer Day, s’mores, and a visit from the Habit Truck.

Summer Swim Camp – Come join the fun in the sun this summer! Your children will enjoy in and out of water activities at Swim Camp including daily swim lessons, fitness activity and arts and crafts. Swim Camp takes place at the pool in both shallow and deep water (for swimmers who pass swim test). Children will be given a swim test at the beginning of each week of camp.

Ages 6 – 14

• Parents must sign their child in and out of class each day
• Participants should bring water and a snack daily
• Participants should come dressed in their swimsuit, with sunscreen on, a towel and closed-toe shoes
• All personal items should be labeled with child’s name

Emails will be sent the Friday prior to camp with additional information on daily activities and what to expect throughout the week!

Swim and Sport Camp!

Join us for a summer full of fun at the Newport-Mesa Family YMCA! Kids will stay active and engaged with a variety of sports, daily swim time, and free play. Campers will build confidence, teamwork, and lasting memories in a supportive and energetic environment!

Hours: 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Children must be 4+ years old and must be fully potty trained. All children must be picked up by 3:30pm.

Failure to pick up on time will affect future eligibility in the program.

YMCA camps are age-appropriate and emphasize skill development and good sportsmanship in an encouraging environment.

Volleyball Camp is 5 days of fun  activities in a variety of events to enhance the participants’ overall athleticism. The goal of the camp is to offer participants the opportunity to develop their serving, bumping, passing, hitting, and setting through fun volleyball games and drills.

Camp will be applicable to participants between the ages of: 6-12 years old. Camp is 9am-12pm, Monday – Friday.
